Optunis Releases Image Effect Trees 1.0.1

Optunis is pleased to announce the release of Image Effect Trees (IET) 1.0.1. IET is a new, powerful, image editing program which unlocks the power of Apple's Core Image technology. Image Effect Trees allow to not only stack effects (like layers), but to combine stacks with various compositing methods. When making an image tree, the original images are always undisturbed. Even if you combine hundreds of effects, and save the results, you can always get back to your original quality.

Version 1.0.1 adds better support for pasting and drag and drop support. You may now drag and drop images and image files into a the effects tree or into the effects viewer. This version now supports printing for both the image tree and the effects viewer.

The image effects come from Apple's Core Image library of image units. There are 100 effects including Image Effect Trees may be used for a variety of purposes including :

geometry manipulations (scaling, rotating, perspective distortions, cropping)
color adjustments (saturation, brightness, contrast,)
compositing operations
Sharpening
Median, Gaussian, Motion and Zoom blurs
glass distortion effects
stylize effects (edges, pixellate, pointillize, bloom, crystallize)
Gradients (Gaussian, Linear, Radial)
